John has been an entrepreneur his entire career. John founded the oil exploration & production company KMOC in 1995, shortly after graduating from Harvard College. After a successful sale to Marathon Petroleum Corp. in 2003, John founded the oilfield service firm Integra. Less than three years later, Integra listed its shares on the London Stock Exchange.
Talus was formed in 2008 to provide capital and diverse operational support to start-ups and early stage growth companies, now comprising a portfolio of control investments across a broad range of different industries. John’s passion is finding and mentoring young leaders with the potential to build exciting and fast growing companies. The Talus platform is a unique one-stop-shop for aspiring entrepreneurs - specifically designed, capitalized and staffed to provide critical areas of operational support to early stage portfolio companies.
